Our Story
There's a moment when you stop settling.
Mine came when my skin was red and sore, and I was told to avoid the sun. Not go in the sun? I live in Hawai‘i. Everything is outside. In the sun. All year round. I wanted skincare that helped my skin without asking me to give up the life I loved.
I grew up on Maui, studied apparel design and product development at Cornell, and spent years designing high-end swimwear. Swimwear taught me to build for salt, wind, and relentless sun. When I moved back home, I brought that same thinking to skincare: it should work for the way we actually live.
Why were routines so complicated? More ingredients, more steps, more for my skin to react to. I wanted fewer things, chosen with purpose.
The starting point was already around me. Hawai‘i-harvested macadamia and beeswax. Organic liliko‘i and kukui. I paired these island ingredients with gentle, well-studied actives chosen to fit my sun-filled lifestyle.
The result was gentle, intentional formulas with beautiful, natural aromas that my skin loved. Then my husband started secretly using them, and he loves them too.
